Art Contest Rules:

  1. Artwork images will be judged on artistic merit.
  2. All work must be original, created only by the entrant and unpublished.
  3. Submitted images can be hand drawn, created on a computer, or photographs of 3-D artwork — and must be sent electronically via the Submission Form. The basis of illustrated artwork must not be clip art. The subject of photographed 3-D artwork must be original and created by the entrant. Judges will select winners based on imagination, creativity and relevance to one or more aspects of the Phrenicea scenario as depicted in the downloadable short story, "The Engagement of Phrenicea," and/or the phrenicea.com website.
  4. Only one submission per unique artwork image is requested/required. Entrants may submit more than one unique artwork image per contest, each bound by contest rules set forth here.
  5. All entries must be received electronically via phrenicea.com in JPG or GIF format by December 31, 2024. Winner(s) — up to three unique entrants — will be announced before January 15, 2020.
  6. Artwork images will not be returned. We are not responsible for lost, misdirected or late entries.
  7. Winner(s) will be notified via the email address entered on their Submission Form. We are not responsible for invalid or incorrect email addresses that truncate the winner-notification process.
  8. Winner(s) grant the owner of phrenicea.com the right and permission to have their artwork images published (and republished) on the Phrenicea website and in other forms of media without compensation. Said right and permission remain in effect until such time that the owner of phrenicea.com determines not to utilize the artwork images for any purpose.
  9. Winner(s) have the option to grant permission to the owner of phrenicea.com to publish their name, photograph and biographical information in connection with this contest. If/when permission is granted by the winner, said publication is without any compensation.
  10. Winner(s) will receive two complimentary Phrenicea T-shirts and a "I Have Seen the Future" collectable pin from the 1964 New York World's Fair, General Motors Futurama Exhibit, in "as is" condition.
  11. By participating in this contest, entrants hereby agree to be bound by the official rules set forth here as well as the General Contest Rules. These rules are subject to change by the owner of phrenicea.com if so desired.
  12. Entries that are not in compliance with the contest rules will be disqualified.
